State government was committed for the welfare of all sections in the state:Chief Minister

Dehradun, April 14:  Chief Minister Vijay Minister today said that the state government was committed for the welfare of all sections in the state. The cooperation of all sections would be sought to make the state an ideal state.
 While remembering Bharat Ratna Baba Saheb Ambedkar, Mr Bahuguna said that Dr. Ambedkar would be always remembered for his important contribution in the freedom movement and drafting of the Indian constitution.
     The state government would follow the path shown by Babasaheb for establishing an equal society, he said.
     During formal interaction with reporters in New Delhi on Saturday, the Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna said that the uplift of deprived and downtrodden sections would be given top priority by his government.
    He also announced that Maharshi Valmiki and Dr.  Bhim Rao Ambedkar Chair  would be set up in  Doon University in Dehradun and ITI Maharishi Valmiki in Roorkee.
    His government would consider increasing the number of student hostels for the welfare and uplift of the students from SC, ST, Backward, minorities and other downtrodden sections, He said.
    CM also said that the District Magistrates would be made responsible for resolving the disputes and provide possession of the land allocated to these sections under the ''patta''.
     The Chief Minister said that it would be ensured that the funds from Special Component Plan were utilized cent percent and in colonies and revenue villages having over forty per cent SC concentration, all basic infrastructure facilities would be built from this Plan, Mr. Bahuguna said.
     In The district and Tehsil headquarters, hostels with free food facilities would be built in the name of Khushiram Shilpkar and Bhawani Bhai and the government proposed to set up residential polytechnic institutions in two locations under the name of Jayanand Bharti and Hariprasad Tamta, he added.
In addition, the state government would launch Indira Gandhi Ashirwad scheme for the girls from SCs, STs, minorities and other poor sections, to provide special financial aid through savings certificates to them.


Dehradun, April 14: Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna has expressed his deep grief towards the untimely demise of senior journalist Rakesh Chandola. He has prayed to the almighty for the peace of the departed soul and strength for the bereaved family members.
In his condolence message, Chief Minister said that Late Chandola had significantly contributed in the field of journalism for which he would be always remembered. He said that Chandola had also led various organizations of journalist and struggled for their welfare. Describing his death as a great loss for the State, CM said that the void created by his demise was difficult to fill.
