In view of the composite nature of engineers cadre in Border Roads Organisation (BRO), ratio has been fixed for posting of engineer officers of General Reserve Engineer Force (GREF) and Army as under:

As per the decision taken by the Border Roads Development Board (BRDB) in its meeting held on 5.5.2011, an expert committee was constituted under the chairmanship of Secretary BRDB to review the existing manning ratio.
The Committee held its meeting on 11.7.2011 and suggested to change the manning ratio for posting of GREF and Army engineer officers as under:
